The first bathhouse to embody the "Yudo" philosophy advocated by Kundo Koyama
OYUNOMIYA was born as the first officially certified bathhouse, embodying the "Yudo" way of bathing, a path to perfection advocated by TV writer Kundo Koyama.
Just as there are beautiful procedures and gestures that are set in flower arranging and tea ceremony, there are also etiquettes in the art of bathing that allow you to deeply engage with the water, yourself, and others.
Above the bathtub, which was created by plasterer Shuhei Hasado, is a ceiling painting by Shuhei Tateyama.
In addition, local Miyazaki crafts and works by artists are used as bathing implements to practice the etiquette of bathing.
