[May] A trip to Toi Cape to enjoy Misaki horses, stunning scenery, and local fisherman's cuisine.
Toi Cape is located at the southern tip of Miyazaki Prefecture. Here, the Misaki horse, a breed of native Japanese horse designated as a national natural monument, lives freely amidst the vast natural landscape.
On this tour, you can see the strong yet adorable Misaki horses up close in a grassland spanning approximately 550 hectares.
Especially from April to May, it's the season when foals called "harukoma" are born. If you're lucky, you might come across a heartwarming sight of a mother and foal.
Additionally, a local wild horse guide (optional) will provide commentary on the day. You can enjoy learning about the history and ecology of the Misaki horses, as well as other fascinating stories you won't hear anywhere else.
For lunch, we'll be serving a special "Chef's Choice Fisherman's Set Meal" at the popular local restaurant "Umi no Kokoro," featuring fresh ingredients only fishermen can provide. Enjoy the bounty of Miyazaki's sea.
