Preserving the beaches where loggerhead sea turtles can return for future generations.
At Hitotsuba Beach, located near PHOENIX SEAGAIA RESORT, loggerhead sea turtles, a natural monument of Miyazaki Prefecture, are said to come to lay their eggs. However, driftwood and trash that fall onto the shore become a major obstacle for the hatchlings to return to the sea.
At PHOENIX SEAGAIA RESORT, we conduct "beach clean-up activities" to protect these small lives by picking up driftwood, flotsam and jetsam, as well as illegally dumped household waste scattered on the shore.
We are looking for SPMC members to participate in this activity.
Your participation will be a great help in protecting our beautiful coastline and precious lives. Why not spend some time enjoying the nature of Hitotsuba and working up a pleasant sweat? We sincerely look forward to your participation.
*This activity is being carried out under PHOENIX SEAGAIA RESORT 's sustainability vision, "Towards a resort that energizes both people and the planet."
