Pickleball is a sport that originated in the United States, combining elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton.
It is played on a compact court using lightweight rackets and with a plastic ball.

The rules are simple, and even beginners can quickly start to keep the rally going.

The activity I experienced this time was pickleball, which can be enjoyed at SEAGAIA TENNIS ACADEMY.
First, rent a racket and ball set at the reception desk, get ready, and head to the indoor court.

Shoe rentals are available, so you can easily try it out even if you come empty-handed, which is a great advantage. For clothing, any comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement is fine, but for footwear, athletic shoes are recommended to prevent injuries.
You can start playing immediately in a comfortable environment unaffected by the weather.

The court size is 13.4m x 6.1m, the same size as a badminton doubles court. A unique feature is that both singles and doubles can be played on the same court size.

When you actually try hitting the ball, it's much easier to hit than you might imagine, and rallies naturally continue.
Thanks to the compact court and easy-to-handle racket, even beginners can return the ball without difficulty, and the more you play, the more you get the hang of it.

With each rally, a smile involuntarily spreads across your face, and before you know it, you've grown much closer to those around you.
The sense of camaraderie that naturally develops as players call out "Nice shot!" to each other is one of the charms of this sport!
It was an experience that allowed me to truly feel the comfort of something that's easy to start and incredibly fun.

After playing, the excellent facilities in the clubhouse are another attractive feature.
The facility is equipped with lockers, showers, and a sauna, which is a great way to refresh yourself after your workout.
